Biography

Austin singer-songwriter Claudia Gibson’s musical style runs the gamut - with folk at its core, but also including elements of rock, classical, bluegrass, Celtic and soul - creating a sound that is solely her own. UK music reviewer Alan Cackett calls Claudia’s latest album, The Fields of Chazy - produced by legendary Texas songwriter Walt Wilkins -  “a travelogue through time and the vast expanse of America, a heady mixture that conjures the ghosts of John Steinbeck and Townes Van Zandt, and yet remains uniquely personal."

Claudia’s songwriting skills have brought her recognition as a Kerrville New Folk finalist, invites to songwriting festivals and competitions, and 1st place in the Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest
